Thanksgiving in Germany

[This evening we had Thanksgiving dinner at out friends Beth and Mike's home. They have three kids, Benedict (8) and twins Hanna and Katie (4).]

I had lots of fun playing with them. We ate potatoes, and bread, and corn, and ice cream cake. Carter had fun too eating pumpkin Pie!

On Sunday, I went to an Underwater Puppet show with my friend Yanti.

It was about pollution and its effects on sea animals.

Waking the Catwalk

Ready Set Go....Carter Stands!

Carter has been doing the " tee-pee" for awhile and has been pulling himself to his knees.
So finally on Saturday, 11 November, in the bath he realised that he could stand.
So we let his bed down and off he went. He loves to stand himself up and has even tried to take a few steps.
My how our big boy has grown.

Saint Martin's Lantern Celebration

This is a Lantern celebration. The children sing and act out the story of Saint Martin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Martin%27s_Day. They carry their lanterns around the city.

This year Skylar made a lantern at school and was able to walk and see her friends. She had a wonderful time. Our family friend Yanti came to celebrate with us.
